It capped off a topsy-turvy 20 overs for the hosts who suffered three-wicket collapses both in the early and latter stages of the innings.
Sixers opener James Vince was the first to fall for 10 (12) when a full delivery from Jamie Overton clattered into his stumps in the fourth over.
Daniel Hughes was next to the crease and managed a single, putting opener Josh Philippe back on strike.

But the Sixers gloveman edged a ball from Overton and was easily taken by Strikers wicketkeeper Harry Nielsen as he departed for 25 (16).
In his 100th BBL fixture, Hughes fell in the next over for just one (3) when he nicked a James Bazley delivery through to Nielsen, leaving the Sixers reeling at 3-40.
Moises Henriques helped steady the ship alongside Jordan Silk as the two put together a partnership of 66 before the skipper skied a slower delivery from Overton and exited for 23.
The Sixers then suffered another late collapse during the power surge but nowhere near as severe as the earlier one as they lost three wickets — Jack Edwards (12), Joel Davies (10) and Ben Dwarshius (0) — for just thirteen runs.
